As a general purpose computer system, the ICL 1900 series machines had a variety of peripheral types and models available. Non-standard 'exotic' devices could be connected via a uniplexor.

Each card, made of flexible plastic, is 16 inches long by 4½ inches wide and contains 128 tracks with a capacity of 165,888 characters.
1958/2 Extension Unit holding up to 8 removable magazines of 256 cards, which may be fitted to a 1958/1 doubling its capacity.

1956 The Disc Store provides bulk storage of data with the facility of direct random access to individual 60-word (240 character) data sectors.
The sizes of disc store available range from 31.5MChs to 126MChs.
This device is believed to have only been available on the 1904/1905 under Executive E4BM.
