There are currently 3 different 1900 Series Hardware Emulators available, together with a wide range of emulated peripherals

1904S Hardware Emulator

The ICL 1904S was a mainframe computer built at ICLs West Gorton (ex-Ferranti) factory which could have from 96KWords up to a maximum of 256KWords of store fitted. The 1904S emulator can also be configured to emulate the 1904A, 1904E, 1904F, 1905E, 1905F, 1906, 1907 and 1903T processors.

1905 Hardware Emulator

The ICT 1905 was a mainframe computer built at ICTs West Gorton (ex-Ferranti) factory which could have from 8KWords up to a maximum of 32KWords of core store fitted. The 1905 emulator can also be configured to emulate the 1904, 1909 and FP6000 processors. These processors were the first of the 1900 range processors, derived from the FP6000 from Ferranti (Canada).

1901A Hardware Emulator

The ICL 1901A was a small mainframe computer built at ICLs Stevenage factory which could have from 4KWords up to a maximum of 16KWords of core store fitted.

1900 Hardware Emulator Downloads

All three emulators can be installed by downloading the following files:-

Please note that the Windows releases were built using VC2015 under Windows 8.1, so you will need to download (from MS) runtime library v140, if it is not already installed on your system.

PF56 Hardware Emulator

There is a parallel project to provide a hardware level emulation of the PF56, a general purpose controller. This will permit the original DCPs for the 7903 Communications Controller and the 2812 EDS (30/60/200) controllers to run and provide an emulation of the original functionality to the 1900 Hardware Emulators.
